Sturgeon – Shad Fishing Trips

Fishing for Sturgeon and Shad is also something we can do year-round.  For Sturgeon, we typically fish from Chico down to the San Francisco Bay.  If you want to go fishing for Shad, we typically fish from Chico to Red Bluff on the Sacramento River or from Oroville to Yuba City on the Feather River.

What to Bring on your Guided Fishing Trip on the Sacramento River

• A current CA Fishing License (you can order online from the link on our home page).
• Your lunch or snacks and beverages
• An ice chest with your lunch, drinks and room for your fish to take home
• Bring your camera
• Sunscreen
• A hat is recommended
• Layers of clothing because it could be cool in the morning and then get hot later.

• Fishing rods, reels, bait and all necessary fishing gear.
• Our custom jet boats with a maximum capacity of 8 people
• Our expert guides to help find the fish and also give fishing tips or lessons.  If you have never been fishing before, this is the perfect way to learn how to fish from an expert.
